Andrejs Erglis is the Chief of the Latvian Centre of Cardiology at Pauls Stradins Clinical University Hospital, Riga, Latvia. He is a Professor of Medicine and Director of the Institute of Cardiology at the University of Latvia.
Prof. Erglis has extensive experience in interventional cardiology and has been involved in almost all important interventional multi-centre studies worldwide. Currently, he serves as President of the Latvian Society of Cardiology and is a member of the Steering Committee of the Valvular Heart Disease II (VHDII) Survey of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC).
Prof. Erglis is one of the most cited and renowned experts in interventional cardiology, especially transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) in Europe, and one of the leaders in cardiology in the Baltic countries. He has authored over 140 peer reviewed publications.
