Wolfgang von Scheidt is the Professor of Cardiology at Klinikum Augsburg, one of the largest hospitals and interventional cardiology centers in Germany. He is Chairman of the department for cardiology, pneumonology, internal intensive care medicine, endocrinology and general internal medicine.

The Division of Cardiology comprises noninvasive and invasive diagnostic evaluation and medical and interventional therapy of CAD (24-hours Cath lab facility for primary PCI) , transfemoral and transapical aortic valve implantation, Mitra Clip procedure, interventional PFO-closure, interventional LAA closure, alcohol ablation for HOCM, specialized intracoronary diagnostic evaluation. Diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology is available. Specialized in-hospital/out-patient programs are run.
